This extraordinary piece was commissioned by a client with a particular love of both guitars and woodcraft. The body of the desk is designed to reflect the mid-section of a guitar, with bent Indian Rosewood sides, quarter-sawn Maple faces, and Ebony-stained Black Walnut interior sound hole. The Cherry top is hand-inlaid with an angled view of our client’s guitar, depicted in every detail including the abalone rosette, mother-of-pearl pegs, hand-carved fret markers, brass tuning pins and real frets overlaid with a full set of real guitar strings. The pencil drawer face is a reproduction of the fretboard, and the drawer pulls are Ebony bridges with mother-of-pearl pegs. Truly a unique piece that has kept us on our toes and used all available imagination and skills!

To craft the super-custom guitar desk, we used high-end materials, including Indian Rosewood, quarter-sawn Maple, Cherry, Black Walnut, Ebony, Mahogany, mother-of-pearl, abalone, brass sheet, and real acoustic guitar frets and strings.
